TRICKS OF USING COFFEE BLENDER FOR BEGINNERS

Updated: Feb 21, 2023

ALIGN THE GRIND SIZE WITH THE BREWING MODE

ASK YOUR GRINDER TO RING

To obtain the appropriate grind size for your brewing method, it's critical to adjust the coffee grinder settings. Finding the ideal grind setting on your machine may take some time (and coffee) because every grinder has its own unique subtle quirks.

MAKE SURE TO CLEAN YOUR GRINDER

DRY OFF YOUR GRINDER

An electric coffee grinder should never be submerged in water. The grinder can become readily clogged with moisture, making it difficult for the grounds to pass through the device.

Particularly if your grinder features steel burrs, moisture shouldn't be allowed to get close to the grind chamber or burrs. Near the motor or moving parts, rust or corrosion can accumulate and lower the grinder's overall performance.

  • FRESH, QUALITY BEANS SHRED

Without using high-quality beans as a base, brewing a good cup of coffee is practically impossible. However, using different grinders will produce varied outcomes for each roast. For the best extraction, different coffees require different grinder settings, so you must fine-tune your grinder for each fresh batch.

But fresh coffee is essential for all roasts. Coffee should ideally be consumed within four days of the roasting date and no later than ten to twelve days. The beans start to lose their freshness after that point, and the grinder settings may need to be adjusted.

By following these five coffee grinder tips, you'll be well on your way to operating your grinder like a pro and brewing a better tasting cup of coffee.
